Day 7 - Effingham to Pittsburgh (Aug 29th)

Another Huge & really enjoyable day today....Covered 4 States
(Illinois , Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania) and 502 miles in our treck
for the East coast (& home!).

Started out normal time (7am) and heading to Indianapolis for
breakfast where we ended up amongst a Drag racing event & all the
normal petrol heads!

Refueled & made Columbus Ohio out target for a late lunch (another
completely different city)...

We grouped up with 5 other bikers on I 70 East thru Ohio & we all rode
as rat pack of 7 for a few hours.

Loved the rolling hills with the sun on our backs as we rode across
the boarder into Pennsylvania and landed in Pittsburgh on dusk.

We were quickly approached by someone selling tickets for the Pirates
Baseball game so to took up his offer, watch half the game, had the
usual unhealthy "game dinner" & hit the hay.

All going well we will see the East coast ocean, New York & Greenwich
tomorrow night

Day 5 - Amarillo - Joplin (Aug 27)

Early start on the road from 6.45 at Amarillo Texas as the sun rise from the east in our eyes beautiful and blinding

We burnt a tank of gas 150 miles then time for breakfast, beautiful in the oldest decrypted shed (restaurant)
you could ever imagine

Refueled the horses then on to challenge the barrage of trucks that
are endlessly in your line of passage

Found a truck with only a car on its deck to provide a great slipstream and I sat behind this for an hour almost burning no gas at 80 mph

Lunch at Oklahoma City more refueling then finally ending up at Joplin for the night with just on 500 miles for the day

To top it off we ended up at an Aussie resturant (Outback Steak House) for Dinner
